Florian Riedl is a Munich based composer and saxophone player. He writes and produces music for cinema, TV, broadcast stations, commercials and for his own band projects, like the Hi-Fly Orchestra.
As a doubling reed player he performed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgien, Slovakia, Hungary, Brazil, China, Portugal, Sweden.
Florian performed togehter with many renowed musicians like Joseph Bowie, Bobby Shew, Dusko Goykovich, Claudio Roditi, Charly Antolini, Ithamara Koorax, Paula Morelenbaum, Miriam Aïda and Karl Frierson, besides international pop-music artists like Mika at the MTV European Music Awards 2007.
As a composer, he wrote the original film scores for Doris Dörrie’s movies „Nackt“, „Der Fischer und seine Frau“ and the documentary „How to cook your life“ (Constantin Film). His broadcast music for „ARD-Das Erste Frühlingskampagne 2014“ won the 3rd prize at the 16th International Eyes & Ears Awards in the category ‚Best design-related musical composition‘.
Recently he scored for the movie Agnieszka, directed by Tomasz E. Rudizk, which has been screened on many international film festivals and awarded with the Bavarian Film Awards 2015 (Bayerischer Filmpreis 2015). Furthermore, he composed for several film and TV productions like the documentary „Natascha Kampusch – 3096 Tage Gefangenschaft“ (ARD) and the docusoap „Mode, Mädchen und ein Mann“ (BR, ARTE).SHOW WORKS
